Our chicks in our fourth grade science class have hatched! Students were greeted Wednesday morning with the sweet sounds of baby chicks chirping. Four chicks had hatched, and several more were pecking away at their shell, as they worked on making their entrance to this world. Check out the photos below of the chicks over the course of the past few days as they made their way from egg, to incubator, to brooder.
Mrs. Jensen's science classes have been studying chicken embryology. The Purdue Extension team even brought a variety of chicken breeds for a visit! Next week we will have a team of student experts ready to answer any of your questions about chickens, their life cycles, the hatching process, etc. Post your comment below before Wednesday May 13th at noon to get your questions answered by a student in Mrs. Jensen's class. We look forward to your questions! #bonairchicks
