Tournament of the Books

The Tournament of The Books is an adaptation of college basketball’s March Madness Bracket Challenge. Sixteen books and/or series have been selected to go head to head in an exciting challenge. Your votes will decide the most popular book (s) of Bon Air School. Just like the college basketball tournament only one can win and claim the distinguished title of BEST BOOK OF 2015! This all depends on you!

Books were selected for The Tournament based on circulation in the library and teacher recommendations. The book or series that wins The Tournament will have a gold label placed on its cover designating it the BOOK OF THE YEAR.

Each Monday a new website link will be provided to students and teachers to cast their votes on their favorite books. The votes will be collected until Sunday evening at 8 pm. Once voting has closed books with the least amount of votes will be eliminated and a new survey link will be posted. This will continue until one title remains. The bracket will be tracked on the bulletin boards outside of the middle school cafeteria.

Rules

·       Students may vote individually using the link provided each week.

·       Teachers may lead students through voting as a class.

·       Adults may also vote.

·       There is no limit to the amount of times a student can vote.

·       Students do not have to vote on every match up, they only vote on books they have read or books that have been read to them.

·       Emails are not required to vote, please select BEGIN to get started!

·       The website link for voting is posted on Mondays on the Bon Air School blog, on the Bon Air website (upcoming events), and school Facebook page.

·       Teachers may also copy and post the link on their Canvas page.
